Information Architecture

Structure your product so users always know where they are and how to get where they need to go.

Overview

What this involves

Before pixels, we structure. How should the product be organised? What is the navigation model? How do users move through the key journeys? These decisions shape everything downstream. Good information architecture makes complex products feel simple — users always know where they are, what they can do, and how to get where they need to go.

Deliverables

What you get

  • Sitemap and content hierarchy
  • Navigation model and taxonomy
  • User flow diagrams
  • Content audit and recommendations

Questions

Frequently asked

Is information architecture only for new products?
No. We frequently work on IA for existing products that have grown organically and become difficult to navigate. Restructuring the information architecture of a mature product is one of the highest-impact design investments you can make.
How do you validate IA decisions?
We use card sorting, tree testing, and first-click testing to validate that our proposed structure matches how users think about the content and features. Validation happens before we commit to visual design.
